Dear Pisay,
Welcome back to our cherished campus, a place that is now imbued with a renewed sense of hope, excitement, and resilience. As we gather once again for a new school year, let us reflect on the challenges we have faced and celebrate our triumphs.
The past year has undoubtedly tested our strength and adaptability. We confronted unprecedented obstacles as we transitioned back from remote to in-person learning. We grappled with adjustment hurdles, technical and physical challenges in terms of our facilities, and more. Yet, in the face of these challenges, we persevered. Scholars, you showed remarkable resilience in adapting to new modes of learning and back to traditional, demonstrating your commitment to your education. Teachers and non-teaching personnel, you rose to the occasion, embracing innovative teaching methods, and providing unwavering support to our scholars.
Now, as we again go back on campus, we do so with a profound appreciation for the lessons and experiences we had from the pandemic and last year when we had our full in-person classes for the whole year for the first time after two years of remote learning. The joy of engaging in lively classroom discussions, collaborating with peers on projects, and the serendipitous interactions that happen in hallways are things that, hopefully, will not be taken from us ever again.
Looking ahead to the new academic year, we have much to anticipate and be excited about. Advancements in technology have revolutionized the way we learn and engage with information. We have witnessed the rapid development of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), opening up exciting new possibilities for learning. These technologies will help us, all of us, explore more and unlock a world of knowledge previously unimaginable. Technology is our friend, not a foe.
Moreover, we can expect an array of innovative activities that will enhance the educational journey. From interdisciplinary projects and community service initiatives to research opportunities, the academic calendar is brimming with chances to expand horizons and cultivate passions. These activities will empower learners to develop critical thinking skills, foster creativity, and become active contributors to our communities.
In addition, let us not forget the numerous extracurricular activities that await us, from sports and arts to clubs and organizations. These activities provide a holistic education that goes beyond the confines of the classroom, to nurture interests, develop leadership skills, and form lasting friendships. Let us seize these opportunities to explore new talents, pursue passions, and build a well-rounded foundation for future endeavors.
As we embark on this new chapter, let us remember the valuable lessons we learned during times of uncertainty. We have grown in resilience, adaptability, and empathy. We have discovered our capacity for self-discipline and independent learning. These skills and qualities will continue to serve us well as we face new challenges and navigate the ever-changing landscape of education and the world.
To end, dear scholars and employees, let us approach this academic year with enthusiasm, gratitude for overcoming the hurdles of the past, and excitement for the possibilities of the future. Let us embrace the joy of learning, relish the diverse activities and technologies that lie ahead, and cherish the connections we will foster. Together, we can create a vibrant and transformative educational community that celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and personal growth. Let us make the most of this invaluable opportunity and embark on a year filled with extraordinary achievements and memorable experiences.
Welcome back, dear students, and thank you, Pisay employees, for your unwavering dedication. Let us embark on this exciting journey together, ready to make a positive impact on our lives and the world around us.
With warm regards,
Lawrence V. Madriaga
